Deer Season Downeast
Posted November 14, 2008
by William "Billy" Milliken, Owner/Broker, Jonesport Realty
With fall upon us, I have been enjoying deer hunting as usual. This year I have been spending time North of Jonesport at our leased camp near the blueberry barrens in Township 18. I was lucky enough to bag a 232 lb 8 pointer. I am going to have the deer mounted. So much for the myth about the big deer and the toughness of the meat, it melts in your mouth and tastes wonderful not even a hint of gaminess. My time off is now spent with Seth trying to see if he can fill the rest of our freezer!
